Nutrition Consultant, MAT Practitioner and Personal Trainer
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual with a unique blend of expertise and experience in nutrition and exercise science, injury rehabilitation and prevention, and gym facility management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing clients’ nutritional needs to reach their fitness goals, developing personalised meal plans, providing education on heathy eating habits, conducting movement assessments, developing detailed science driven exercise plans, conducting personal training sessions and Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) sessions and assisting in the management of our boutique fitness facility including managing trainers and conducting sales consultations.
Job Duties
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ dietary habits and nutritional needs to reach their fitness and body composition goals.
Develop individualized nutrition plans based on the assessment findings.
Provide counseling and education to clients regarding dietary choices and meal planning.
Conduct in-depth movement assessments for clients.
Design advanced, periodized, science driven exercise programs using a structured and trackable approach.
Coach and instruct private personal training and/or partner training sessions.
Assist clients in the rehabilitation of various injuries and dysfunctions whilst also achieving their body composition goals.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals (physiotherapists, chiropractors and doctors) to integrate exercise into their rehabilitation program.
Conduct Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT), or similar assessments/treatments, to assess/optimize neuromuscular function and help prevent and/or recover from injury or dysfunction.
Deliver well organised and structured small group classes with a maximum of 10 clients per one-hour session.
Follow the Body Engineers general training principles/thought process.
Assist in the management of the gym (with potential for becoming a studio manager later down the road)
Job Details
Type of employment: Permanent Position
Job Type: Part time working up to full-time (1-3 months time period in order to reach 30+ hours per week)
Wage: $45-65/hour

Skill Requirements (Education and Work Experience)
A degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science is required.
A degree or master’s degree in nutrition science is required.
Personal Training Certification with 6-8+ years’ of experience in personal training is required.
Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Specialist certification or higher, or an equivalent certification, is highly desirable.
Additional Personal Training Certifications is an asset such Poliquin PICP Levels 1 to 4 or RTS Mastery.
Advanced exercise programming knowledge to achieve fitness goals.
Willingness to follow the Body Engineers training principles

Successful track record in achieving body composition results for a variety of clients.
Exceptional knowledge in anatomy and physiology.
Experience managing, or assisting in the management, of personal training teams and/or gym facilities is highly desirable.
Sales experience is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
